Terms of Service
Scope of services
Dr. Handyman Service provides handyman installation of ceiling fans, light fixtures, chandeliers, switches and controls, shelving, mirrors, curtain rods, and other wall-mounted household fixtures. Work that requires a licensed electrical, plumbing, or structural contractor is referred to or coordinated with an appropriately licensed professional.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and based on the information you provide. Conditions discovered on site — unsupported boxes, damaged wiring, hidden obstructions, or unsafe access — may change the price or scope. We will discuss any change with you before continuing.
Scheduling and cancellations
Appointments are scheduled in arrival windows. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. If no one is available to provide access at the scheduled time, a trip charge may apply.
Customer-supplied materials
You may supply your own fixtures and hardware. We are not responsible for defects, missing parts, incorrect sizing, or manufacturer limitations of customer-supplied items, and additional labor may be required if parts are incomplete.
Workmanship guarantee
We stand behind our labor. If a fixture we installed loosens, wobbles, or a control we installed stops functioning due to our workmanship, contact us at 305-360-0342 and we will return to correct it. Manufacturer warranties on products are handled by the manufacturer.
Property, access, and liability
You agree to provide safe access to the work area and to disclose known hazards. We take reasonable care to protect your property. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services performed, and we are not liable for pre-existing conditions, concealed defects, or consequential damages.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Larger multi-fixture projects may require a deposit for materials.
